More home improvement projects, 2 sold paintings and 2 doodles

As July comes to an end things are not much different than when the quarantine began back in March.  We are in phase two so there are more businesses open. We are required to wear masks when in stores which does not bother us.  We would rather be safe than sorry.  We continue to keep busy at home with another home improvement project completed.  We  redid our tiny powder room which is just 3ft. by 6ft..  We tiled the floor and walls half way up.  There is new paint.  We replaced the light fixture, vanity and sink, mirror and toilet. Here are photos.

This first picture is of the smaller vanity we put in to replace the large bulky one that took up so much room.  This is called European style.  I changed out the knobs that came with it with ones that I bought at Hobby Lobby.  I love the sparkly bling.

Speaking of sparkly bling, the new light fixture is nothing but sparkly!  It really brightens up the room.

I got a large metal wall decoration also from Hobby Lobby.  The mirror came from there too.

The painting I hung over the toilet is one that I did a few years back in MI.  I had to change the frame from gold to silver.  A quick coat of paint took care of that.

I am including a close-up picture of the floor tile. I always wanted to use this small hexagon tile somewhere so finally got my wish.

I am so grateful that Roger has the ability to turn my dream designs into reality!  We have a few more home improvement projects that are on our to-do list.  I'm not sure when we will start the next one.

I sold two more paintings at the Owl and Rabbit Gallery since they re-opened in their new location.  The new store is really nice and much larger.  Here is what I sold.

The first one is called "Fabulous Feathers" and is 16 X 20.

The other one is "Sunflowers in Blue Vase".  It is 14 X 11.  I found out that the same customer bought both paintings.

I continue to doodle.  I have started my third sketch book since the quarantine began in March.  Here are a couple of new doodles.

I recently had 3 paintings excepted to show in the downtown Burlington Art Walk.  They will be there for a month.  I'll post photos of those at a later time.

I am not sure who reads this blog but every time I check the stats I see that people are seeing it from all over the world.  My view numbers are not huge in comparison to others in social media but I am getting close to over 100,000 hits since I first started.  I am sure some of those may be robo hits because I see that sometimes I'll have 50 at a time from Italy but most of the others are just a few at a time from the US and also other countries.  Anyway, I'm not concerned with the numbers, I just enjoy doing this for my own pleasure.  It is sort of my form of journaling.  I look back at old posts every so often and find it is a great way of keeping a record of my artistic life.
