Two new paintings and a new layout for my studio

I finished two new 14X11 stretch canvas paintings since my last blog post. Both paintings are new patterns. One is a bird painting to add to my bird collection.  This one is called "Birds of a Feather".

The other painting is a horse painting to add to my horse collection.  The title is "Flaming Mane".

About a year or so ago I did a series of small 5X7 paintings that I sold on easels.  Recently I got some frames at a yard sale so decided to frame one of these small paintings.  I call this one "Pretty Little Bird"

I sold another painting at the Owl and Rabbit Gallery.  It was this version of "Forest Royalty".

I am now working on another version of "In Memory of Mickey". I posted the photo of it in my last blog post. I gave the original to his wife Carol and she was very happy with it.  The new one will be a little different and I think I will call it  "Beautiful Bird and Flowers".  I'll post photos of it when it is done.

A few months ago we got a new lounge chair and put the old one in my loft studio.  Shortly after that we got a futon which was also put in my studio.  It made things a little crowed so last week I rearranged my painting area to open things up more.  I am happy with this new arrangement.  Here are some photos of my new and improved loft studio.

It is one year ago that we decided to sell our house in Michigan and to move to North Carolina.  We are happy that we made that move but miss all the family that lived close to us.  On the other hand, we have had lots of company come visit us in the 9 months since we made the move.  Both family and friends have come and others have let us know they will be here this summer and fall.  We are looking forward to seeing all of them.
