New 8X10

God's Gift
8X10

I did this painting at the request of my daughter-in-law Leslie. She is going to give it to a co-worker as a retirement gift. I am now going to concentrate on doing some large paintings for my exhibition next year at the Ranch House Gallery.

Small Cross Paintings

This Saturday, April 21, is the opening reception and artisan market of the SAAG art exhibition at the Sheraton Hotel on East Grant.  I have 10 paintings in the exhibition and will have a display for the artisan market.  I will be featuring smaller paintings and craft items such as the crosses above and boxes in an older post.  Hope to see you there.

Three more paintings

Here are my three latest paintings.  They are not as large as the last ones I posted.  The subject matter is varied.  I will be showing them at the Sheraton Reception and Artisan's Market this weekend.

Colorful Painting

"Southwest Still Life"
16X20
I wanted to do another painting featuring a sarape and came up with this idea.  I combined the sarape with a pot of cacti.  It all came from my mind.  I drew it on a sheet of  paper and used transfer paper to put on the canvas.  I had to do a little readjusting with a chalk pencil until I got it just right.  I had fun with this one. I enjoyed doing the folds in the sarape and of course using lots of color.  I thought the white frame would set off the colors in the painting.  I am working on a couple more paintings now and will post when done.

Wishing you all a Blessed Easter!

"Talavera Roadrunner" sold!

The roadrunner painting in my last post sold yesterday!  I only finished it last week.  I also sold Talavera Quail as a companion piece plus a 8x10 Sunflower painting and a domino holder.  Good day!  When I complete the three paintings I am working on now I will do another version of the quail and roadrunner.
